Symposium Highlights:

  • The Symposium focussed on the DRI's research examination of the most current Social Security benefit-related topics involving application and qualification for benefits and return to work options.
  • Members of the DRI research faculty presented findings of their research projects.
  • As keynote speaker, Dr. Edward Berkowitz of George Washington University, an authority on the history of the Social Security program, put these issues in Social Security's historical context.
  • Representatives from government agencies discussed their perspectives and suggestions for future directions for DRI in its role as a Social Security research asset.

Continuing Education Credit Available - Symposium attendance earned 1 Unit of CEU credit equal to 10 contact hours.
